Onsite IT Technician
Design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain the IT Infrastructure of our customer environments; including network connectivity, Windows server administration, virtualization, performance tuning, backup and recovery. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Our next team member will be responsible to:
- Provide full support to end users for all their IT issues, service/change requests over the phone, email or onsite as required
- Install and configure hardware and software components
- Set up, configure, client devices, user accounts, printers, VoIP, etc.
- Install physical hardware and wiring as required
- Liaise with all levels of IT support as required, determine solutions and appropriate responses
- Client relationship management and the ability to respond to complex IT requirements.
- Document workarounds and solutions, and update the IT knowledgebase
Must Haves:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in computer and network support.
- Excellent documentation and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for teamwork, problem solving, and exceptional customer service
- Must be well-spoken, organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Network certification or MCSE a plus
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is a plus.

In-Shop Repair Technician
IOM Computers is currently looking to hire a full time In-Shop computer repair technician. In this role you will provide a wide variety of technical support services. Prospective applicants must be able to diagnose and identify defective hardware (hard drive, RAM, motherboards, etc…) along with having familiarity and experience with computer software and applications such as Microsoft Windows and Office, and have basic MacOS and Linux skills.

- fan/liquid cooler installation/replacements & thermal paste refresh
- ram replacement/upgrade
